What is the profession and function of the art historian in today’s society? Why and how can we increase their visibility and the legitimacy of their actions in the public sphere? How do they play out in the job market? How can we keep art history in tune with the times and contribute to making it more inclusive?

What is the role of art historians today? Is the junction between the university and the other fields of activity of the art historian fluid? What resources and tools are available to young graduates? What forms do their practices take and how are they transformed? Is the art historian necessarily a researcher? Is the status of independent researcher a utopia? What are the pitfalls to be avoided and the projects to be created to support young art historians?
