Focusing on the new generation, the exhibition is a proposal to rethink the pictorial medium, its aesthetic or formal issues and its links with other disciplines.
How to define painting? What is its relationship with drawing, sculpture or performance art? These questions have been asked throughout its history and still animate artists today. Figurative, abstract or conceptual, the body of work presented is of plural identity. Like the eponymous probe that set out to discover new celestial bodies, New Horizons in Painting is an exploration of this ancestral medium and its new expressions.
